About

A picture of me

I don’t really enjoy talking about myself, but here’s an idea of who I am and what I do:  I’m a Computer Scientist (I graduated from Carleton University, in Ottawa, in 2009) and I love the work I do.  Basically, I build things.  These things tend to be “complex” and interesting which is awesome.  I’ve taken what I’ve learned and I co-founded Select Start Studios where we build mobile applications.  We develop for all platforms, but focus mainly on iPhone (it’s where we started out).

I enjoy what I do and my profession is awesome for a ton of reasons.   Computer Science is a technical field; you deal with all kinds of complicated and interesting stuff.  Whether that stuff is complex mathematical theories or new and interesting algorithms, it’s all fun.  In addition, Computer Science is also a creative field.  I see it as an opportunity to use my creative side and design and not just code. Creating a “complex system” in a simple and elegant way brings me great joy.

In short, I enjoy tackling challenges, I enjoy learning and I love dinosaurs.
